Mr Mahoney, MSc, MIACP, is an experienced psychotherapist currently pursuing a PhD and holds a Master of Science in Loss and Bereavement from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), as well as a First-Class Honours degree in Counselling with Addiction. He is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Addiction Counsellors of Ireland (ACI).
His experience includes working with national and international charities, addiction rehabilitation centres and managing transitional housing, where he has honed his skills in supporting individuals through recovery. He has experience supporting individuals with anxiety, bereavement, depression, mindfulness, relationships, self-esteem/harm and suicidal ideation.
He has particular experience in addressing gambling and gaming addictions and has also worked on a national HSE Gaming and Gambling programme, a 24-hour crisis self-harm and suicidal national helpline. His passion for inspiring positive change, excelling in community enrichment programmes, and fostering deep connections drives his strategy.
His work has been published in national journals and newspapers, contributing to the broader discourse on mental health, societal challenges, and addiction. He has authored an ebook called "A Journey of Self-Care". He continues to support and advocate for mental health, demonstrating his belief in the possibility of positive change and personal growth.

National face-to-face or online counselling and international online counselling are offered.
Appointment Fees:
€100 Full price per session.
€40 discounted fees per session:
For those receiving Carer’s Allowance/Benefit, Disability Benefit, Irish abroad, Jobseekers Benefit/Allowance, One Parent Family and State Pension.
€35 discounted fees per session.
